SPRING FASHION SHOW
A Spring Fashion Show, presented by Sally West with fashions also by Ml. Leacy & Sons and Jalanda Kids Wear, takes place in the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey, on Thursday, April 12th at 8 p.m. There will be a cheese and wine reception beforehand, and the fashion show will be followed by a disco. Admission is €15, and tickets are available from participating shops and Halford’s Hair Studio. This event is being organised as a fundraiser for the appeal in memory of Kathleen Egan, the popular and well-loved member of staff at Sally West who passed away last year. Special Guest Model You’re a Star winner David O’Connor.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGM
Tara Hill Community Development Association will hold its Annual General Meeting on Monday 16 April at 8p.m. in Tara Hill National School. All are welcome.

TOASTMASTER MEMBERS TAKE PART IN CONTEST
Gorey Toastmaster members will take part in their first International Speech and Evaluation Contest this Wednesday in the Loch Garman Arms at 8.00p.m. The winners of each contest will represent the Club at the Area Finals in Waterford on April 20th – along with the other five clubs in the Area. As usual members get to speak on a topic of their own choosing. The meeting format is slightly different but the aim is the same. Through mutual support the members will achieve their goals and develop speaking skills and even have fun – all at the same time. Guests are always welcome at meetings. Why not come along – give the members some mutual support and see why speaking in a contest environment can be fun, enjoyable and educational at the same time. GOREY ATHLETIC CLUB
The club would like to thank everybody who contributed to and helped in any way to their bag packing collection last weekend. They would also like to thank the staff and management of Pettits Supervalu for their time and help. The athletic club has now resumed full time training which takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evening in the Showgrounds at 7p.m. All are welcome to come and join in and now with the addition of a new long jump, physical endurance will be tested to the limit. Training also happens every Sunday morning at 12:30 at St. Patrick’s, Camolin.
