Skate park launch

Gorey Skate Park will officially open to the public on Wednesday April 11 at 11am. Minister Dick Roche will perform the launch. All are welcome to attend and enjoy the festivities.

CHARITY NIGHT

There will be a charity Line Dancing night hosted by Grace at the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey on Easter Sunday, April 8 starting at 8:30pm. All proceeds are in aid of the severely mentally handicapped. Admission is €10 and there will be spot prizes, door prizes and an auction. SPRING FASHION SHOW

A Spring Fashion Show, presented by Sally West with fashions also by Ml. Leacy & Sons and Jalanda Kids Wear, takes place in the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey, on Thursday, April 12th at 8 p.m. There will be a cheese and wine reception beforehand, and the fashion show will be followed by a disco. Admission is €15, and tickets are available from participating shops and Halford’s Hair Studio. This event is being organised as a fundraiser for the appeal in memory of Kathleen Egan, the popular and well-loved member of staff at Sally West who passed away last year. Special Guest Model You’re a Star winner David O’Connor.

KIKI FASHION SHOW

Kiki Fashions, Esmonde Street, Gorey will present a charity fashion show in aid of the North Wexford Nursing Hospice Trust on Thursday, April 5 starting at 8pm. Corkscrew Wine bar is the venue. Tickets are available for €15 from Kiki and Corkscrew.

CARRAIG TEABHRA ROCK BRANCH CCE

The April monthly Comhaltas session of music, song, and dance held by the Carraig Teabhra (Rock Branch) C.C.E in the Rock Hall will be held on Tuesday 10th April at 9 pm. All are welcome to attend. Of course you won’t go home without a cup of tea and current bread.

ART EXHIBITION

Gorey School of Art’s 2nd Year students will showcase their recent works at Buzz Gallery, Pearse Street on April 5 at 7:30pm. The exhibition will run until April 30 and all are welcome.
