Gorey Central School
The children of Gorey Central School will take part in a play entitled ‘Just My Luck’ with all proceeds going towards the school.
The show will take place on June 3 and 6 in Kilanerin Hall at 7.30p.m. on each night.
Tickets are available from the school on 053-9421745. All are welcome and a great night is in store.
Comedy Club
On Friday night, June 4, the latest comedian to grace the stage at the Loch Garman Arms will be Brendan Burke. Tickets are available from the hotel and cost €12. Doors open 9p.m.
Gorey Show
The annual Gorey Agricultural Show will take place on June 19 in its new home in Clonattin, Gorey, and the closing date for entry to the various categories is tomorrow, June 3.
This year’s show will have all the usual show classes for horses, sheep and cattle. The Arts and Crafts and Indoor Competitions will take place on the day.

Gorey Rangers’ Schoolboys’ Soccer
The Academy training for the tiny tots section has finished now until the new season resumes.
A medal presentation night will take place in the Naomh Éanna Complex, Clonattin, on Saturday, June 12 from 7.30p.m. and all members are welcome.
The AGM will be held on June 17 at 8p.m. again in the Loch Garman Arms and all are welcome to attend. Registration and a family fun day will be held on June 19 from 10.30a.m. in the Showgrounds at Fort Road which will include a BBQ, bouncy castle and junior soccer blitz.
St. Aidan’s Lotto
St. Aidan’s Services have just launched a new Lotto with a jackpot of €2,000.
Tickets cost €2 each and are available from various shops and businesses around Gorey. The first draw will be made on Friday, May 28 in the Amber Springs.
Tag Rugby
Why not keep fit over the summer as Gorey RFC’s Summer Tag continues at their grounds in Clonattin each Wednesday at 7.30p.m. All welcome.
Meals on Wheels
The Gorey Community Social Services Council is seeking additional volunteer drivers for their Meals-onWheels’ service on Thursdays. All deliveries are on a voluntary basis with people using their own cars.
The service is helping support the elderly in our community and is assisting in people retaining their independence and the ability to stay living in our community.

Flora Ladies’ Mini Marathon
The North Wexford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NWSPCA) are calling on anyone taking part in next week’s Dublin Ladies’ Mini Marathon and who are looking for a good charity to run for contact them on 087-6392539 and a sponsorship card will be posted out. A farmers’ market takes place at Gardiners in Coolgreany on the first Saturday of every month and takes place this Saturday, June 5. For further information contact 0402-37103.

Gorey Carriage Driving Group
The Gorey Carriage Driving Group’s season has started for 2010 and they are looking forward to see old friends and new at Base (weather permitting). Parish Sale
The Church of Ireland community in Ballycanew will hold their Parish Sale in Ballycanew Old School on Friday, June 11 at 7pm. The usual stalls, raffles, auction and games will be present. Everyone welcome.
Retired Teachers’ Social Group

A Table Quiz will take place on June 10 from 8.30p.m. in the Loch Garman Arms. Tables of four will cost €20 and it will be open to non-members.
