Strawberry Fair pronounced success
WE THOUGHT it appropriate to reproduce this charming photograph in honour of the Strawberry Fair which has been one of the better ideas of promotion in the South East.
It has had repercussions as far off as Donegal and Pembroke where I have seen Wexford, yes, Wexford, strawberries on sale.
We are not prepared to give the date of the photograph. Suffice it to say that it was taken on a fine summer day in the last century.
In the meantime, the hair of the then young boyish Chairman has, through his sacrifices for the plain people, turned white. Very apt since he is a White Mountain, Enniscorthy man, through and through.
